We went with Reliable after another design/build firm did not work out. We started with a new design from Dina -- she completely re-envisioned the spaced based on what we were looking for, creating the perfect kitchen for cooking and hanging out. Our family spends much more time in the kitchen since the renovation, which was completed about one year ago.

Rob is an excellent project manager and we loved that he focused on one client at a time. Things happened when they were supposed to, and everything was done with high quality.

Overall we are very happy with all aspects or the transformation and Dina and Rob's ability to do so on budget. Highly recommended.

We worked with Rob and Dina to do a complete Bathroom remodel of our primary room bathroom. The original room was practically unusable: leaking toilet, too small shower, waste of space with an oversized closet and dingy vanity. Dina provided a redesign that matched all of our (sometimes odd) specifications- like a "mini closet" cabinet space, safe cabinet, and the perfect sink bowls. Rob came in and did a full demo of the space and matched Dina's design perfectly as he put everything back together. I've attached before and after photos to show how truly magical the changes were!

We had arranged with a different contractor to remodel our laundry room. After a year of postponing and eventually not returning calls, we revisited some of the contractors we had contacted about the project which had now grown to a total kitchen and laundry room redo. After three very unimpressive interviews I went back on-line in search of a more eco-friendly contractor and one that actually listened to what we had in mind. Finding Reliable Renovations was like finding new friends with great skills. Without seeing a design I had created, Dina designed a kitchen very similar to what I had designed, only better with more efficient use of space. We signed the deal. Dina helped with picking cabinet styles and offered suggestions for shopping for countertops, cabinet hardware, floor tile, and paint. She was very patient with my many questions.

The project started on time in June with estimated completion in early October. Rob came faithfully Mon-Thurs and did all the work himself except for the plumbing, electrical and countertop installation. He created a temporary barrier to contain the mess and we were barely inconvenienced. We added remodeling our 3-season porch to the project and he was very agreeable to some custom tile work on the kitchen walls and laundry room floor as well as a custom counter work in the laundry room and porch. Rob managed to save almost all the original cabinetry from the old kitchen to provide generous cabinets in the laundry and porch area - saving us a lot of money.

What we came to appreciate the most about the entire project, was the attention to detail -- Dina's design and organization skills and Rob's broad range of remodeling and carpentry skills. From the planning to the execution it all came together so beautifully. We love our new space! We would highly recommend Reliable Renovations.

I contacted Rob Lewis because I was very satisfied with his work on an earlier project that he did for me. I knew I would not have to worry about anything.

I liked especially that everything is done with great care and of best quality.

When renovating an old house there are decisions to be made, in the planning phase or during construction. Rob was very helpful with advice and explaining the options. I know that any advice he would offer me serve the only purpose to find the optimal solution and to make me satisfied. He was very helpful.

The remodeled kitchen is just perfect. Design and function
are perfectly matched and the project was perfectly executed.
There is literally nothing I can think of that I would do differently.
I am 100% satisfied. And the tiling is just spotless.

We recently completed a kitchen remodel in which Dina crafted the design for the new kitchen and Rob carried out the remodel. Both Dina and Rob were a delight to work with--effective communicators, responsive to our needs and preferences, courteous and professional, and highly organized. Dina really listened to the complaints that we had with our old kitchen and came up with a design that addressed them, while staying within our budget. We also appreciated that she would often offer multiple options to consider and point out the differences in cost, functionality, sustainability, and durability of each option. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that in some cases, theh most sustainable option was also the lowest cost and most durable option, without sacrificing functionality. And we also appreciated the fact that whenever possible, Dina and Rob suggested local small businesses as suppliers over national chains. Our remodel involved completely gutting the old kitchen, repositioning the sink and all of the appliances, and adding a center island. Rob did most of the work himself, with the assistance of electrical and plumbing contractors that he uses regularly. The subcontractors showed up when scheduled, were courteous and professional. Rob laid out a clear time line at the beginning and despite one surprise--a section of rotting subfloor, he was able to complete the process on schedule. Despite the rotting subfloor, the project came in a bit under budget. Rob kept the dust and disruption to a minimum and midway through the remodel, installed a temporary sink to make things easier on us. We had a functioning kitchen at about 6 weeks and everything was completed in about 8 weeks. Throughout, both Rob and Dina did a great job on maintaining communication with us; they always responded quickly when we phoned, emailed, or texted them. A couple of weeks after the kitchen was completed, Dina and Rob scheduled a short meeting to see if we were happy with it, if any adjustments were needed, and to go over how to care for everything, adjust cabinet drawer heights, etc. We are very pleased with their work and with the result, our new kitchen is brighter, has more and better-organized storage. What is really astounding is that it looks more spacious despite having added an island with some seating. For the first time since buying this home, the new kitchen layout makes it possible for two people to work in the kitchen simultaneously and provides a place for guests to sit and chat with us while we cook. We cannot recommend Dina and Rob of Reliable Renovations more highly.

After meeting with several contractors, I chose Reliable Renovations to redo my large 30-year-old master bath because Rob immediately impressed me with his knowledge, eco-consciousness, and honesty. And boy, was that a great decision!

My bathroom needed a complete demolition and reconstruction. Before the work began, Rob's partner Dina created a design plan after listening carefully to what I wanted. Not only was Dina patient, considerate and very knowledgeable, she was also incredibly well-organized and detail-oriented. This made the whole process, including selection of products, much less overwhelming. Rob did the demolition and most of the construction -- from tiling to removal of the 90's era wallpaper -- himself. His workmanship was impeccable. Rob and Dina kept things on budget and on time. The work was completed in six weeks as promised, and I was blown away by the results. My bathroom is absolutely gorgeous!

If you're looking for quality, professionalism, and complete trustworthiness, you will not find a better team for your bathroom or kitchen project than Rob and Dina at Reliable Renovations.

We love what Dina and Rob did with our kitchen. It’s much more usable than our old design, it looks great, and felt natural to be in from the start.

Up front, Dina spent a lot of time asking questions to understand what we wanted and how we used the space. She made really great recommendations about layout changes that wouldn’t have occurred to us, and was great with m supporting our ideas and being tactfully frank when she thought we could do better. 🙂

Working with the two through construction was also great. We felt well informed about what was happening and when, and there was proactive and accommodating communication about the inevitable changes along the way. Rob was open and balanced with options for different problems that appeared from behind the walls, etc. Everything also came together really promptly overall, with what felt like petty minimal intrusion and - as above - a really good looking end result.
