A Truly Memorable Dining Experience at Origin Kitchen and Bar

I had the pleasure of dining at Origin Kitchen and Bar on the recommendation of my dear friend, Richard Roper, and I can say without hesitation—it was one of the best meals I’ve had in Dallas.

From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Armando, our server, went above and beyond—including having a special honey mustard made just for our table. That kind of attention to detail is rare and speaks volumes about the culture of hospitality here.

What truly set the experience apart, though, was the personal attention from Chef Scott. Not only did he take the time to visit with us at our table, but he also came back to check on us multiple times throughout the meal. He shared his philosophy about expanding the boundaries of what healthy scratch food can be, and after tasting the dishes—it’s clear he's doing exactly that.

The organic ingredients and overall quality of the food were outstanding. Every bite tasted fresh, clean, and carefully crafted. I requested several custom changes to my salad, and not only were they accepted without hesitation—I was even offered more customization options than I had imagined. That’s rare and speaks to a level of hospitality and culinary confidence that is truly special.

It’s hard to find a place where the food feels authentic, deeply nourishing, and leaves you feeling like you just enjoyed a meal at home with a private chef—but that’s exactly the magic of Origin Kitchen and Bar.

I can’t wait to return and try their breakfast next. If you’re in Dallas and value great food, warm service, and thoughtful innovation in the kitchen, this is a must-visit.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Menu is vast and I want to return to try more. I had the BYOBowl and it was delicious, but I made it rather pricey with add-ons. Oh well it was good. Had a Dirty Chai Latte that was a good chai flavor. And the did the chips and guac starter which was also really yummy.

The atmosphere is a vibe by itself. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and everyone was very attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious! We ordered the biscuit and gravy sandwich and almost ordered a second. Also ordered the steak and eggs. It came with a sweet potato hash that was top notch. AND they are an allergen friendly restaurant! I can't wait to go back!

What a great place! They care about the customer from the moment you walk in the door! Serving only REAL FOOD that tastes AMAZING, portions are VERY GENEROUS! So many choices, something for everyone! Service was incredible and the whole team truly cares about making it a great experience! Atmosphere was great, clean! Shannon was our server: (10 stars)full of great menu suggestions and super knowledgeable and accomadating to dietary needs. GREAT service!

*Bren* was our server today for lunch - you have to ask for him because he was amazing! I ordered the eggs with toast and bacon - so good. 2 espressos - 10/10. But Bren literally made me laugh the entire time I was there. He literally brightens up the space with his energy. Will definitely return.

An incredible find for those who cannot tolerate gluten but fantastic food in its own right. Our #1 Favorite for a great meal and a reasonable price served with the upmost of Aloha and “old fashioned grace”. We always feel valued and they remember our names and our favorites. Our favorite dishes are the paleo tacos, orange chicken bowl, chicken fried chicken, and ancho pork with onion rings. For desert the pecan pie or Italian wedding cake. Round out with Americanos with steamed milk. . . And YES all 100% GLUTEN FREE and wholesome.
