Stagg Builders was our concrete contractor for our new build. From beginning to end they were professional and did an excellent job. Communication was excellent and almost immediate. We did not have a general contractor and as “first timers” directing the build, Stagg Builders was more than accommodating in answering questions, explaining and getting the work done. Stagg Builders did the foundation and stained/stamped breezeway on our project, and we’re having them back for the flatwork. Our foundation was very precise, and our breezeway is absolutely beautiful! Everyone comments on the stained and stamped concrete, and it wasn’t a huge upcharge. We’re pleased with Mike, Tanner, and crew.

Stagg Builders was contracted by our general contractor to do the concrete for our new building in the Omro Industrial Park.

They preformed the work and were promptly paid for it.

A couple weeks later as we were inspecting the concrete closer we noticed that the workmanship for the concrete slab seemed very poor. It was very wavy, holds water in many locations, and has bubbles (some of which have already cracked.

We had several other concrete contractors and industrial flooring contractors come to our shop and offer an opinion. All of them told us that the job was nowhere near acceptable and that we should not pay for the work that was completed. They also informed us that we will end up with some major issues in the coming years seeing as there are so many bubbles in the concrete which will crack and continue to get worse.

We have tried to contact Stagg to meet us at our building and try to come to an agreement for a solution but they keep giving us excuses and now will not answer or return any phone calls. Our general contractor has done the same with no success either.

We are in a position now that we will be required to spend an additional $20,000 to have our floors shot blasted and a coating put on them to take care of the issues. Even then, the floor will not be perfectly flat because it is too wavy to be able to accomplish that now.

I would recommend everyone steer clear of this company and would rate them 0 stars if possible...

Too bad 0 stars isn’t an option...
New construction- Started the job, was paid (for more work than what was completed - but I’m not the builder, just the home owner so what do I know, right) then never came back to finish it. Now we are scrambling to find someone to pour basement floor, garage floor and front stoop. Don’t use this company, they are an absolute joke!
