MJM did a great job on getting me just what I was looking for! They can provide you with everything you will need for the layout your are looking to put down while factoring in all your wants/needs. They are very timely and efficient at completing the job and are still able to put out an excellent finished product. They may not be the cheapest asphalt contractor in the area, however in the long run I would rather pay a bit more for excellent work! In the end you'll get what you pay for and these guys are worth it!

The crews were friendly and professional and Ruthann and Joel were great about keeping me in the loop while working through challenging weather. I’m happy that they chose to pause the earthwork prep portion due to saturated soil so they can obtain proper compaction. I highly recommend!

We were able to work with MJM services this month as they asphalted our driveway. They hands down had the best prices. We were also really thankful that they had an opening so late in the summer season.

They were a really chill company to work with, but my only complaint would be a little too chill. I was a little nervous hiring someone to do our driveway because I had heard and read about so many companies scamming customers. I was a little nervous putting down such a large deposit when I didn't even have a date scheduled. But I also understand, with Alaska weather you have to work with what you got. I understand why they couldn't give us set dates, but it was hard for me not to feel nervous.

They were really easy to get a hold of and when they were ready they were very prompt. When they did know what day they were going to work, they would call us the day before and tell us they were coming the next day. They were very efficient at getting things done quickly. And the driveway looks great. I guess we'll see in a year or two how well it holds up. But I have heard great things about them and the reviews have been wonderful.

If the driveway holds up, I don't care how nervous I was, they would be great because of their prices . I could give them five stars if there was a little bit more hand holding during the process. Again though, I'm a first time home buyer, this was my first time dealing with a driveway, I could have used a little bit more explanation. Anytime I had a question they were able to answer but sometimes it took a little bit to find someone who had my answer.

I would recommend them though. At least call them and get it estimate, and start working with them. If the driveway holds up we would tell everybody about them.

MJM did a great job on replacing my driveway and adding a parking pad for my toys. All interactions with MJM were professional and they did show when they said they would and completed the job as quick as weather would allow. All members of their crews seemed engaged, knowledgeable and friendly. They were professional, clean and efficient. My only critique is it was all their scheduling seemed last minute (example calling you night before showing up to do work or when they were on the way) I was expecting a few days notice before they showed up so I could move all my toys. (I ended renting storage for my toys for a month so the area was clear for them to show up anytime) I would recommend them and would Hire them again.

First, I had them do a pretty straight forward flat surface at my house. There was poor communication from the start.
I called the lady once to see where they were on scheduling which gets put off a lot do to weather. This is not a problem for me, I just wanted to stay informed. The lady acted like she couldn't be bothered with my simple question and I was just to simpleminded to understand how things worked. Basically, "leave us alone, we will get to you when we get to you."
I can be patient if you do a quality job.
Then in my talks with one boss, he told me they would not have to charge me for any extra fill. Day of, second boss needed to up the price $500 for extra fill.
Fine. Just do a good job.
The workers left cigarette butts in my yard.
Whatever, as long as they do a good job.
Things are done and I have waited a year to post this review, hoping to say it has all been worth it.
Nope.
The flat surface I was counting on bubbled up in several spots and is cracking across the far corner away from the house. It appears to be sliding away in just the corner.

Now, I waited to make this review because they have a guarantee on their work and I wanted to see if they take any pride in it.
Nope.
The man that stopped by to check on my concerns gave me some excuses on how there was nothing they could do about it, told me how to self-repair, and said he could stop by late when we were ready to do some repairs as some sort of favor to me.
Of course, when I called to say I was ready, they had no idea what I was talking about. I was told I would have my answer by the end of the day.
Two weeks later I am posting this review without them contacting me once.

The asphalt they did has bubbled, cracked, and warped. I have a drive done by another company that has been absolutely perfect for the past two winter. MJM's did not last one.
