We bought a refrigerator from speedway in September. It never worked. They sent a repairman who confirmed there was some sort of leak and was not able to be fixed. They promptly gave us a refund and said they would come to pick up the broken refrigerator the following Monday. 3+ months and numerous phone calls later, this refrigerator is still in my dining room taking up space. It’s now almost the new year and my wife and I aren’t interested in hearing, “We will send someone to pick it up next week.” anymore. I’ll be happy to add some stars to this review when they come get their broken refrigerator.

Update: One month since I posted this review and they said they would look into it. Nobody has contacted us. And we have since called two more times to be told “we will have the delivery guys get right on it”. Nothing. Broken refrigerator still in my house.

I always buy my appliances from here! I've never had any trouble with their refurbished appliances, great prices, and great delivery! So easy, they bring it, hook it up, and take the old away!

After receiving a quote for ductwork, discussing financing options,and being approved, I traveled to Fairmont to sign off on the financing agreement and was told that they should be able to start work the following week. The following Monday, I received a call asking if it would be okay to come the following day. I told them I would have to cancel a doctor's appointment, but that that would be fine. I asked what time to expect them and was told sometime in the morning. After waiting all morning I contacted them and was told they would be there after noon. I then received a call shortly after 3:30 and was told they would not be coming, but to expect them first thing the next morning and that they probably could have called sooner, and they apologized. Again, I asked what time to expect them and was told that they should arrive at the shop between 7:30-8 and should arrive shortly after as the trucks were already loaded with my materials. The following morning, I contacted them at 10 am to see where the crew was and was once again told that they would not be coming until after noon. Two gentlemen arrived about a quarter till 2 and stated that they would not have time to finish today as they had gotten a late start and had been finishing another project, but would return the following morning. They said they planned to install the ductwork and that they would finish hooking into the furnace the next morning. They installed 5 of 7 register boxes and some ductwork before receiving a call requesting they come help load up a truck. Unfortunately, this left us with an unfinished duct system and registers with still-exposed holes where the boots had not been installed on a cold night. They did come and finish up the following day; however, I had to call and have them return the next day to rework part of the system as one of my rooms only had heat for about two cycles. I also realized none of the register boxes(boots) installed were nailed in, however they were more than happy to take care of that for me as well.

TLDR

• After agreeing to replace my ductwork and finalizing financing, I was informed that the crew would arrive the following week.

• Despite rescheduling a doctor's appointment, they failed to show up on the agreed date, but did come the following day

• The crew worked briefly but left the job unfinished, citing a late start and another project, leaving us with an open duct system on a cold night.

• Although a few complications arose after installation they were more than happy to come back out and make repairs.

I was so impressed by how fast and efficient you were. Not only that, but you were also incredibly generous and nice. I have been a repeat customer of Speedway Appliance. Buying a used dryer and currently a new washer. The owner personally reached out to me and assisted me with my purchase and was with me through the entire process. He was responsive, kind and truly had my best interest at heart, which I feel is something you do not always get from larger appliance chains. My appliances don’t only have a manufacturer warranty, but a year warranty through them, which is helpful. The used dryer has went with me from multiple homes, was in storage for a few years and even got a screw stuck in it and still works perfectly. The products they sell are thoroughly inspected by their team so you know you’re getting something reliable and if it ends up not being, they are more than ready to assist and make you happy with something else. Their reliable appliances and amazing customer service is why I will be a Speedway Appliance customer for life.
