We had an incredible experience with Christy and Steve. Our office lobby desperately needed a refresh. We are very satisfied with our decision to hire Tall Pines builders. They were wonderful from start to finish. They helped integrate a new modern design with our existing style. We made several changes throughout, and they did a wonderful job of accommodating us. They also were able to work around the schedule of a very busy office.

Travis was my main point of contact throughout the remodel. He was very communicative, and always willing to accommodate anything we requested from him.

I would highly recommend considering them for your next project.

Through the many ups and downs of today's maddening market, the company kept us informed and made sure that all was right for us at the end of the day. Adrian is a rock star of a site supervisor, and all of the contractors the company brought in impressed us with their professionalism and friendliness. Definitely recommend!

Tall Pines did an entire house remodel for us, taking an 80s suburban house and transforming into a modern, open, and light-filled space. I am just thrilled with the way it turned out. I found the company to be thoughtful, respectful, and engaged. They responded immediately to any communication/questions I had, and helped me figure out some of the details of a really big project. The subcontractors were all great, too, with the exception of one.

We hired Tall Pines Builders to remodel and add a large addition onto our house. The project turned into one problem after another beginning with the owners not checking in with the structural engineers about the foundation. Tall Pines Builders subcontractors had already gutted our existing house when the engineers said that we needed triple the concrete pads we originally thought under the existing house in addition to the pads under the addition. We followed through with this work for safety reasons. They had dug a big hole for the addition's foundation and discovered they could not proceed because the structural engineers said the foundation needed more support, so it sat there for at least one month.
There was no consistency in management of our project. The site manager who Tall Pines Builders owners finally hired did not have the experience or knowledge to oversee this big of a project at that time.
The plumbing was subpar at best. They used cardboard and expanding foam in place of shims to make the bathtub level; we had to tear out the back wall because the shower head was not installed properly and was leaking, so now we have to repair the lower bathroom ceiling because of the leaks. Just getting hot water to go to the master bathtub had been a major issue.
The heating and air conditioning vents were not installed properly and are crooked on the floor. There is a vent directly underneath one thermostat on the main floor, which blows hot or cold air on the thermostat. The vents in the basement were installed in the wall and come out every time the heat comes on. The 3 zones in the thermostat system leak into each other so much that we can only run one zone. They split the basement heat/air into 2 zones, one from the main house and one from the back addition.
The ceiling in the living room/dining room area is bowed. The cabinets in the kitchen are coming off the wall, and this includes the oven, and Tall Pines cabinet workers have not returned to fix this problem. The flooring does not line up with the cabinets.
The majority of the doors have never worked correctly. The front door has been "corrected by Tall Pines" a few times and it still does not hang right, so now we cannot lock the door knob. The front door needs to be replaced. Other doors stick and the master bedroom door will not completely close. Tall Pine Builders had to fix the balcony sliding glass door because it was not hung correctly, and the stucco workers have not returned to finish this job.
The laminate vinyl floor is coming up in areas of the house, and very noticeable in the master bathroom, the kitchen, the living room, and the hallway.
Overall Tall Pines Builders workmanship was not worth the amount we paid.

Truly WONDERFUL company and family in Colorado Springs. Have and always will recommend! Tall Pines does a fantastic job at setting clear expectations, fair pricing, and beautiful and punctual work. I have worked with them on numerous projects and they have done a phenomenal job each time. Steve, Travis, and Christy are a great team.

Tall Pines did a good job on the build overall. The store looks amazing!! Responsiveness and timeliness were a little less than desired and varied throughout the project. The team was friendly and knowledgeable. The carpenter they subbed parts of the project too did not perform well. He caused major delays to the project because he was constantly unavailable or on extended lunches. Closing the project took an unnecessarily long time. Based on. the quality of work I am giving them 4 stars but communication and followup would be 2.5. I spoke with their president about my concerns and she said she would call me back to follow up that afternoon. Almost 3 weeks later I am still waiting for that phone call.

Finding a contractor and builder that meet these criteria is not an easy task, but I'm so grateful that we found a connection with Tall Pines Builders because they check every one of those boxes! Our industry partners can make or break a deal and these referrals are a reflection of our business as well. I do not hesitate to recommend Christy, Ryan, Steve and the whole Tall Pines team any chance that I get - from a custom home, to a residential remodel, to commercial tenant improvements. I know that my clients and friends will be extremely well taken care of and communicated with in a timely manner. Horrible experience. Overcharged thousands of dollars from the bid. Delayed finishing the job, and I had to pay about one year of rent with the place still being "built". Not communicating, or even avoiding calls. These people are the middle man that has no idea of building. Poor quality, in many cases, I had to go back and hire people to fix bad work. Record all conversation, because the verbal promises, differ from end product.
