It was refreshing to do business with a no-nonsense person like Trevor. I went in thinking my water pump and steering pump went out but after he inspected it, he told me it was an issue with a belt and pulley. I asked him about it because I heard a knocking beforehand, he told me flatly that he’s never had something like that happen to a pump. Too many people have been spoiled by “the customer’s always right” and feel like they should be treated like royalty. I am so glad there’s someone like Trevor who isn’t afraid to put customers in their place when they’re being rude (or dumb).

I have been to dozens of mechanics all over the country, and not one of them has ever made a report as detailed as his team. They could have simply written down “fixed serpentine belt, fixed pulley” and been done with it, but they wrote two paragraphs, showing almost step-by-step what they found and what they did to fix the problems. As an author, I greatly appreciate the details so I could see what they had to go through in order to repair my vehicle.

I would like to comment on the negative reviews about orders. I have had to deal with this kind of business before, and it’s astounding how many people don't realize that there are too many customers and not enough product to go around at the moment. Not only is nearly everything on back order right now, but surprise! Not much is made in America anymore either! So anticipate having to be patient for your order and if not, find a hobby in the meantime. This could be somewhat alleviated by “under promise, over deliver” but Trevor seems like the kind of person who wants to be as accurate with his customers as possible. Unfortunately, no one can anticipate the consistency of factories nor the incompetence of shipping companies.

All in all I had a smooth experience with Trevor and his team. They really put the “Ace” in Ark Valley Diesel Service! If you’re wondering why I gave them four stars, it’s because more people read four star reviews than five stars.

Made an appointment at 8am was there bright and early. One of the shop guys took the keys. I explained my brake issues and how I had tires I needed mounted along with an alignment. It being out already ate a set of tires.

Hear nothing, call at 11:40am. They said they just got the tires on and they’d call me. Hear nothing all day didn’t wanna bother them. Called finally around 4:15-4:20pm. They tell me they were able to mount the tires however they couldn’t align it. I just followed with ok, and the brakes? “Well I worked you in as a favor. We had 8 other vehicles on the schedule. We were only able to spend 30 minutes with it. You said you couldn’t leave it overnight so we didn’t get to it…” sooo my following statement was… “So you had it all day long, I expressed that’s my only vehicle and me missing work is extremely hard and could cost me my job. So you don’t call me and say Hey, we got super busy and your appointment wasn’t a priority. So we couldn’t get to it… instead you decided to mount $660 tires! That are now gonna wear unevenly!” Waste my whole day had me sitting around like a bump on a log and you weren’t even looking at my truck?! I could have taken the whole day off and had someone actually look at it! Not make the whole situation worse! The gentleman that was beyond rude on the phone was Trevor. They also drove me home I thought that was very kind as I expressed I’m not from here… when I asked “So you let my truck sit all day instead of calling me?” He said he thinks it’s best I come get my vehicle. He then canceled the returning ride so I had to ask a stranger… didn’t even dispose of my old tires or strap them down on my truck. Just left them there…

Driving home from a long trip, and our diesel truck blew a boot pipe. We were 300 miles from home and I googled diesel truck mechanics. This shop immediately got us in and fixed our issue. Genuinely honest, kind and helpful mechanics. They did NOT take advantage of stranded travelers and charge an outrageous price. Great shop, great people, highly recommend!

I want to express my gratitude to the service manager Chris and his whole team for an excellent service done to my truck, from roadservice diagnostics to in shop repair, got me in and out in faster than any other shop would, they replaced my air brake system compressor, they ordered it overnight from cummins, and also gave me a ride to a hotel. Overall good experience thanks again to the mechanic that did the job, he went beyond with the air filter on the dryer because the tread was cross but he was able to make it work and get me back on the road. I definitely recommend Arkansas Valley Diesel.

Worst ebay vendor ever. They list an item as in stock, available and for ready to ship. Order it, pay for it. Wait the week that it is supposed to ship within and not shipped. No communication from them in regards to any delay. Contact them in regards to shipping and they take another week to respond. Item is not in stock, but they have ordered it from the OEM. 6 weeks later, item still not shipped. Truck is off the road as it requires the part. But not a big deal, everyone can afford for their truck to be down for an extra 2 months because of their games.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this semi truck repair shop. They performed additional work on my truck without obtaining my authorization. Initially, they assured me that my truck had no active fault codes. However, during the test drive, a new fault code suddenly appeared, and they promptly informed me that they would charge extra to investigate it.

I made multiple attempts to work with them and establish a fair business relationship, but they adamantly refused to cooperate. It's important to clarify that I never expected free repairs; I merely wanted transparency and fairness in our dealings.

The real problem arose when it came time to settle the invoice. I can say with confidence that this shop will give you an incredibly hard time when it comes to billing. Don't be surprised if you're charged extra for services you never requested or agreed upon.

My advice to fellow truck owners is to explore other repair options. Even if it means towing your truck a bit farther, it's worth avoiding this shop to spare yourself the immense stress and inconvenience they bring. Dealing with them was an absolute nightmare.
