It's rare to find a company that is as incompetent, expensive, and profoundly unpleasant to work with as Silver Engineering. They sold us a $9,000 fan wheel with a one-year warranty. After 14 months, the fan wheel failed catastrophically, completely destroying the part and nearly ruining our $90,000 dust collector. The previous fan wheel lasted almost 20 years because it was designed well: welded and riveted. The design Silver made for us was bolted with dozens of individual bolts. When we saw the design before final delivery, we pushed back and said bolts won't work for this application, since it's outdoors, very difficult to access to tighten bolts, and a high vibration application. They insisted that bolts would be fine, and so we relented and trusted their 'expertise.' After the failure, I called to see if they were willing to honor any part of the warranty, since the part had lasted only 2 months past the warranty period. Joey literally laughed at me. He said "Do you know how business works?" He was rude and condescending, asking me if we "ever performed maintenance on our machinery," and buddy let me tell you, you don't run a wood shop full of valuable machinery for 44 years without doing maintenance on everything from a moulder to a broom handle (and plumbing, forklifts, saws, jeez I could go on). He was a complete jerk. He invited me to write this review, so this is the last thing I'll ever do that he recommends. Please save your money and equanimity and never give these amateurs your business. 0/5 stars if I could.
