I went with Meek roofing because they were the lowest bid from 3 contractors. I paid half up front and half upon completion. I was told it would be about 4-6 weeks until they could start my roof, which was a metal overlay on top of existing shingles. I called several times and they finally got around to my house 4 months after my initial bid. Upon completion they came for payment. I told them that I wanted all of the metal scraps in my yard picked up and hauled off first, which they did. At this point, it was October and the first snow of the season (a light dusting), was just melting and I noticed that my seamless gutters were leaking. In another place, I had had about 6 inches of gutter overhanging the edge of my house. I called repeatedly (usually once every 2-3 weeks) and spoke with the contractor each time about getting these issues resolved. 10 months later, they finally made time for me and "fixed" these issues. The first winter is almost past, and I have noticed continual leaking in the spot of my gutter that they fixed, as well an ice dam behind my chimney. From my own research, there should be a cricket installed behind the chimney to shunt off rain/snow so it doesn't accumulate in this area. I've asked three other contractors about this and they agree that it should have been installed. Overall, I'm not impressed with the professionalism of this contractor. People are human and make mistakes. I understand this and am the same way. The issue I have with this company and the contractor, is how they haven't stepped up to the plate and fixed the obvious mistake(s). I will reach out to them about fixing the ice dam, but don't have hope that they'll follow through. Shortly after their work, I recommended them to a neighbor. While they were working on my neighbors roof, they were avoiding my calls. It wasn't until I insisted on getting my money back, did they actually come by and trim the overhanging gutter. Use another contractor if you want it done right, even if it costs more.

Always several hours late and with bad attitudes, Dave Meeks and company left behind equipment rather than put up flashing and other aspects of a job they agreed to perform.
