We shopped several local home builders before deciding on Covington. We had been disappointed in the level of service that we were given when interviewing other builders, and for such a large investment no one else seemed to care about what was important to us. We met Carrie and Stephanie In the Ashmore neighborhood of Banning Lewis Ranch. My husband and I had never built a new home before, were apprehensive, and had tons of questions, and they both made us feel comfortable. We were very anxious about jumping into this venture with covid 19 and all of the supply chain shortages that we had been hearing about. Was the home build delayed? Yes it was. However, Covington was going through the same situations as all other builders ( stolen supplies, worker shortages, etc), but they chose not to cut corners. Our home was well worth the wait! We have only been in a month and had nothing other than a few cosmetic issues at the final walk through. Daryl and Roland were extremely helpful in rectifying the very few minor issues we had. We have received compliment after compliment for our home design and appearance!

The other positive about working with Covington homes, is that they are truly part of the community and not just moneygrabbers. The Covington family and team are involved in so many local charities and outreach programs, which is another reason we chose to work with this company. I was surprised at reviews where people were actually complaining about toilet paper holder style! Those items are nothing but cosmetic and personal choice, and can be replaced by any novice at any time. The important things like physical structure and attention to detail are much more important! ALL manufacturers are dealing with longer wait times, shortages, labor problems, and other unforeseen circumstances due to the incredibly unusual world we currently live in. All I know is that the Covington team have been responsive and we absolutely are in love with our new home!

We were very nervous about building. The first time we walked into the model home, we both knew these people would be our builders. The sales staff was amazing. Thank you Garrett and Stephanie. We have now been in a year and it is truly our dream home. After closing they have been so responsive. Thank you Rod and Daryl! We did not have many issues but I felt like we were in the best hands. Some things we did not agree on like the stove. The grading in the backyard needed a lot of work. When the vent leaked they were out the next day. I highly recommend this builder. Outstanding job Covington and thank you!

All in all we had a great experience with Covington Homes! Some things didn't line up like they should at all and we had to keep fighting we them with no response and fix it ourselves as you can see below. Still one to fix is the vent in kitchen. They show floor plan models and say they are the same but when you get yours, it is not the same! Humidifier was even hooked up and pipes just hanging so how are these passing inspection as done just to get to us to close?

When it came time to buy a new home we did more research than most. Having built two homes ourselves we knew that corners were sometimes cut and sub-contractors didn't always do the job to our liking. After visiting several model homes in the Wolf Ranch area and checking out the reputations of the many builders there, we decided to have Covington build our next home. One of the deciding factors was the fact that Covington is responsible for the St Jude's Home that is auctioned off every year on KKTV. We knew their dedication to the community and that they built Homes, not just houses.
Over a year after we took occupancy of our new home a slight problem arose with the hard surface flooring on the first floor. Emily and Rod from Covington arranged a schedule of workers to come, at our convenience ,and made sure the problem was solved. They stood by their product and gave us great customer service .
A house is everyone's biggest investment. We are glad we invested in Covington for our home.
