The Basement Sanctuary just finished our basement and we were blown away by the customer service, timeline, quality and price of what we got.

Jason's communication was very quick from the moment we reached out. Within a week, he came over to get measurement, created a drawing and modified it for our needs. We also went with Basement Sanctuary because they have a show room where you can pick finishes from, instead of going shopping and picking it all out yourself. We liked this because it was easy and they had beautiful options. The best part too, you don't have to use their options if you don't want to. We picked out our own bathroom vanity mirror and lights.

After we signed our contract, they started within 2 weeks! They completed our project in 6 weeks too. Austin was our project manager and was great to work with. He communicated everything in a timely manner and was receptive to our concerns.
Overall the quality of the basement is better than the construction of our 2 year old home. I cannot speak highly enough of this company and would recommend everyone gets their basement done by them!

I wanted to wait a few months before writing a review to determine if I would still love my basement. I do! Jason and David were extraordinary to work with, providing the design and craftsmanship that my family adores. I especially appreciated the great organization between the teams. The City of Aurora has a permitting team that is highly qualified and hard on contractors (as they should be). I think they were even impressed with the quality of the work! If there is one thing I would have done differently, it would be to have an upgraded toilet system, yet that is a minor thing considering the scope of the project. After 4 months, I'm still in love with my finished basement and so glad I chose such a great team to complete it!

We recently hired The Basement Sanctuary to finish our basement and absolutely love our new space! From start to finish, Jason and David took the time to address our concerns and worked with us to get the job done. The whole process was unobtrusive because all laborers entered and left the basement through the windows. The quality of the work was well done and they even cleaned the entire space after the job was done (including the utility room!). We looked around at several contractors and these guys were by far the most reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them for any home remodeling projects you may have. Outstanding experience with The Basement Sanctuary in general and our Project Manager Jake in particular. Excellent communication from conception to the final walkthrough, all the subcontractors were punctual and friendly and left the work zone as clean as possible at the end of every day (and the final cleaning crew must have magical powers, top notch). The finished basement is absolutely stunning, and only took 8 weeks from start to finish. We added about 1300 square feet divided into a bedroom, a TV area (both carpeted) plus a bathroom and a common area / gym (LVT flooring), all new electric included a dedicated 220V line for bigger appliances. Outlets and lights everywhere make this space completely livable.

Jake made the whole thing smooth. I work from home, and he kept me updated on which days would be particularly noisy (tile cutting, etc) so I could go find a coffee shop for a few hours. I wanted to do the painting myself and he helped me understand when the best times to get that done and not be in the way of the next round of subs would be, so I could plan accordingly. I took a heavy fire door off the hinges to paint, and he even put it back on, which was certainly outside his normal responsibilities but was greatly appreciated, those things are heavy! It's those little things that made me feel like he was on top of everything and wanted to make sure his customer was happy.

A+ for final results, value, process, and communication. Highly recommend.
