BEWARE OF THIS BUILDER ... DOES NOT BACK THEIR HOME WARRANTY!!! We recently noticed the wooden spokes under the upstairs hallway handrail are coming loose and popping out of place (see photo). Needless to say this is a HUGE PROBLEM that makes our home unsafe and puts all members of our family including our precious West Highland terrier in danger, especially if/when the entire railing gives way (there is an 8-12 foot drop to the stairs & level below). When I contacted Lokal's home warranty emergency line I was told this was NOT a MAJOR STRUCTURAL DEFECT covered by the 10 year warranty. All they cared about was we were outside of our 1-2 year warranty as we closed on our home in August, 2018. They ignored me when I acknowledged that I already knew this but restated this loose railing issue is in fact a MAJOR STRUCTURAL DEFECT that falls under the 10 year warranty. They simply hung up on me.

We didn’t know Lokal home builders before, but after our experience, we’re glad we found them! We recently purchased a townhome from Lokal, and the entire process has been outstanding from start to finish. Virginia, one of the sales representative’s, played a key role in our decision to buy. She listened carefully to our needs, particularly regarding mountain views, and went above and beyond by reaching out when a unit became available. She even filmed the views for us, which ultimately sealed the deal. Her support through the contracting process also helped customize where possible the home to meet our needs, even though much had already been planned.

I bought my first home using Lokal and I can't imagine a better experience. They were quick, accurate, and willing to answer all of my questions. Even the builders would take the time to check in after I had moved in and make sure I was settling in ok, and no issues were found. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I'd recommend Lokal to anyone in the market for a home.

They gave us an apartment with a heating that is not working.They have been coming several times to fixed and after 2 days is damaged again. We are waiting for them to fix the entire heat system but they don’t want to keep fixing it. We had been here for a year and the heating has been fixed 10 times this year. Please honor the people how pay after, for selling they are the best after buying not so much.

Avoid this builder. They open warranty claims and mark them as “resolved” without completing repairs. Homeowner requests are ignored, and after years of neglecting issues in both units and common areas, they sent community-wide letters claiming that pursuing legal action over unresolved defects would cause more harm than good for homeowners. Their track record of unaddressed concerns speaks for itself. Save yourself the frustration and choose a more reliable builder.
