DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
We paid for him to come and do soil samples for us. He showed up with an ancient rig and did 2 holes. He did provide us a soils report. But then he essentially sabotaged our entire build by over engineering the requirements for our foundation. He put in his paperwork that we needed to put piers 10 feet into bedrock! That means.... 3ft piers roughly 35 ft into the ground. It blew our entire budget from the git go. Not one engineer I provided info to agreed with his ridiculous write up. All we had to do is dig out the clay, back-fill with dirt, compact, then do our standard foundation. It's just a one-story simple house on a cement foundation.
He was so arrogant, and he wouldn't listen to reason at all. More thousands of dollars absolutely wasted on terrible contractors. And people wonder why the housing market has become so expensive you can't hardly afford to build!
