Recommended by a neighbor, I contacted Dave about re-siding my house and adding some windows. Very responsive at first, he set up a time to visit for a few days later. Time slot comes, no show or contact, so I reach out, he quickly responds apologetic about getting tied up and puts me in touch with his son Willie to reschedule. Willie visits a day later (a week within first contact, pretty good) and is friendly and knowledgeable. Tells me he will talk to his dad about next steps to quote. No word a week later, so I email Dave. Another week passes with no response, so I email again to ask that he let me know if he’s still interested or not. Another week with no response, so final attempt, I text Willie. Like father like son, no response a week later. Now a month after wasting my time (and theirs), I wanted to share what kind of professional common courtesy you might expect. It’s very easy to no bid because you’re too busy or the job isn’t a good fit, just own it.
