I will admit I was a little hesitant to work with them because of previous reviews. I needed an all wheel drive truck to get up a hill on my property. They were the only company in the area that had four-wheel-drive trucks. Saved me from having to pay rental fees for a pump truck. I worked with Steve and with Bruce. They came to my property before the sale of the product to be sure that they’d be able to get up the hill with heavy concrete trucks. Their price was exactly as quoted. No hidden fees. No bait and switch. Delightful to work with. I will use them again.

We have used Shelby Concrete as our supplier for years. Dozens of trucks and hundreds of yards of concrete. They have always been friendly, courteous and willing to work around OUR schedule. Their staff and drivers have never failed to resolve any issues that have arisen.
Great folks that we hope to continue working with in the future.

Alright, this is not a review for doing business with them however it was more of an accidental run in.
One of their trucks passed by me speeding and changed lanes.
Then, the truck started raining rocks on my van.
A piece the size of a golf ball smacked my windshield leaving a huge circular crack.
I took video of the truck to proove i was there.
Rooster their fleet manager promised to repair my windshield then blew me off several times afterwards.
I got a police report and am currently taking legal action against the company.
I don't know how you think it's okay to rain debris on peoples cars but you won't get away with it.
All you had to do was fix a $200 windshield. It's worth the money to see justice served..

This company is a nightmare. Scooter tried to over charge me $2500. over my invoice price. Gave me my invoice price then tried to bait and switch the invoice. Made up fake charges. Rude sale crew, disrespectful. And will try to take advantage of u if your a women. I am taking them to small claims court. This was the worst experience!

Called 3 days in advance to place the order for our concrete. Was placed on the schedule for 1:00pm today. At 12:30 we were told it would 2-3 MORE hours before concrete would be delivered (it’s now 3:30). Called back in at 3:00 to see how it was looking on deliver and guy in scheduling said it could be another 2 hours longer. This guy was COMPLETELY unprofessional when we declined his offer to deliver concrete the next day, which would’ve put us making another 1.5 hour trip one way back to the job site. I’ve now been paying a crew an additional 2-3 hours in pay to basically sit and wait. Do not order from these guys. Stick with Kirkpatrick.

Drivers are unprofessional. Order a 4 inch slump. Got a 6 1/4 with no water added. Not once but 3 trucks in a row. Drivers catch attitude when you ask basic questions and inform slump is off. Finishers had to wait 5 minutes for driver to get off the phone to pour out.

If your work is as BAD as your drivers, I would NEVER use you and hope that other people realize this. One of your trucks cut me off on Shades Creek Pkway in order to get into the turn lane onto Cahaba Rd. I'll admit , he gave a signal, but there was NOTHING behind me "forever" and I had to brake. Thank you for allowing everything on my front seat to end on the floor. Then he traveled about 5 miles an hour under the speed limit, granted it is a HEAVY truck, BUT he crossed lanes several times. He was either sleepy, on his phone or SOMETHING. I would have obtained his tag number had he had a visible tag or a truck number if I could have reached a place to pull up beside him. NOPE! Had to follow this clown all the way until his turn onto (Ithink it was called) Country Club Place AND YOU GUESSED "NO TURN SIGNAL" !!! This was beyond RUDE, CARELESS, AND STUPIDITY. Are your drivers even allowed to use the cell while driving or are they road tested or even drug tested? AGAIN thanks for the mess in my Car!!!

Companies like this should be fined heavily for allowing their trucks to drop so many rocks on the highway and cause damage to other vehicles.
