I've lived at The Continental for the past 2 years in a 2BR unit, and it has been a great experience. The location is very central, with most subway lines having stations within a block. Nicole, the leasing manager, was a pleasure to work with. The building staff has been a delight -- friendly and prompt. My unit is beautiful, but its had its issues, as done does any unit in NYC, but the building staff always takes care of them within a day. I highly recommend living at The Continental!

I've lived here for 7 years and I love having the Continental as my home. The friendly doormen, the Spa lounge with Pool, Washer/Dryer in-unit and Rooftop make this home worth staying in. Highly Recommend working with Nicole on finding the right apartment for you in this building.

I actually loved most parts abt this building - gigantic bedrooms w/ 3+ double-door closets in the master. The doormen are also the absolute best - always so sweet and helpful! The older maintenance guy is also the sweetest.

What makes this building less desirable is indeed the fact that it is an older building - the AC is super loud + the noise cancellation is insanely bad. If the area was quieter, it'd be fine, but this is probably the loudest part of Manhattan, and the sirens + the constant music/performance coming from Greeley Square is just too much. I have to sleep with earplugs on most nights.

Also, I feel like they don't really clean the hallways or ever wipe down the public areas (elevator buttons, trash rooms, etc.)...

Overall, I think the building would've been almost perfect if these unfortunately not-small issues were fixed.

Lived here for 2 years. Moved out this summer.

- Overall good staff.
Front desk and most handymen were nice

- Super super bad management.
The manager Joe was basically doing nothing. Never respond your email. Never talk to you nicely. The typical old white man: ignorant, racist and think he's king of the world. Talking to him make you feel like he's paying you living here.

- The building is old
In our last 6 months living here, things frequently got broken.
- Water leaking in the whole building
- No hot water in the middle of cold winter
- AC broken in hot summer
- One elevator is always broken
-....

Avoid this building! With this price, you would have many choices around.

Lived here since 2019. I love this apartment. So quiet. Community space & pool are amazing and so well maintained (Mike - the manager - is the kindest and the most professional person I have ever met). Joe (building manager) has that special charisman that you know that the building will be very nicely managed as soon as you meet him. I highly highly recommend this apartment.

Have been staying at the Continental for one and half years. The overall experience was fine. I especially love our helpful frontdesk and handymen.

But in recent few months, there were just too many incidents:
- Water leaking.
- AC was out of order for the whole building, not once, but twice in the hot summer.
- Elevators are slow cause one of three cars is constantly not working due to some trouble

Maybe this building is just getting old and I'm planning to find a new place.

I'm a little shocked to read the negative reviews. I lived in the Continental from March 2021 - June 2022 and I had an amazing experience. The leasing agent Nicole P is attentive and professional and the front desk team (Sam, Angel, Walter, Bogdan et.al.) are EXTREMELY helpful. I had one issue come up with my floors buckling, but Joe C. arranged to have the floors replaced within 48 hours, which I thought was reasonable. My unit was STUNNING and I had a direct unobstructed view of the Empire State Building. I also loved the in-unit washer and dryer, which is rare for studios.

For constructive criticism, I'll say that it would be nice if the building hosted more community events. The building is close to Korea Town and if you don't identify with that community, you might feel ostracized. Also, keep in mind that the building is right next to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, so the druggies, crazies, and obnoxious folks are definitely out in full force and on the prowl... and frequently pass by the building. If I ever moved back to the city, I'd love to move back!

I absolutely love living here! The building and amenities are top notch and the staff is phenomenal. Nicole, my leasing manager, has provided exceptional service since I moved in over 6 years ago. Her warmth and professionalism have made the leasing process seamless and efficient. Additionally, the doormen are absolutely fantastic- I love each of them and they are definitely my best friends. I highly recommend The Continental to anyone looking for a luxury building in a very convenient location!
