Purchased first new home from DR Horton. Thought we were in good hands and could trust we were getting a quality home, especially considering they claim to be "America's Number 1 Builder." Turns out the home was poorly constructed, pushed through to be conveyed to us before it was ready, all of which multiple high ranking DR Horton employees acknowledged and admitted to. Still dealing with issues seven months after move in. Just last week had to have two walls cut into due to poorly installed water pipes. Plumber stated the water lines are supposed to be strapped every few feet and that he found no straps installed at all. This is just one of MANY MANY examples of the poor quality and failure of DR Horton to inspect the various trades constructing these homes. We bought a new home because we wanted the peace of mind to not have to worry about making repairs. Now it's all we worry about. Our warranty will expire in five months and we are worried what is going to happen next. A new home should not leave the buyer with these fears. If we could do it over again we would never buy from DR Horton and we hope you don't either. Please consider your peace of mind and go with another builder. We truly wish we did.
