Yosemite in the winter. Bucket list (tick)
Absolutely awe-inspiring landscape. A must visit. Plan to get into the park early to avoid the traffic that builds from 10am.
Its a long windy road in (be prepared if you or your passengers suffer car sickness).
Car fee payable but lasts for a week so you can have multiple entries.
Commentary about chains etc. We only experienced a little patch of snow, but chains were not required. No rangers asked if we were carrying. Check the weather. If it looks like it will get bad make sure you do have them!
Patchy cellphone coverage.
Take plenty of supplies and change of warm clothes. You never know when you might need them.

Highly recommend a visit to Yosemite.

Hidden out of the way, away from parking, this may be the least visited Visitor’s Center in a major National Park! It’s worth the effort to find, along with the Museum next door.

It’s no longer a welcome center—it’s now an education center with interactive learning and exploration exhibits. A nice shift, but the space remains quite small. Visit theater for a quick free movie!

Beautiful falls, wilderness and so peaceful there. Reservations needed prior your trip if you are going from now until October. If you want to full streaming waterfalls go in spring and starting of summer . Views are amazing and you will find rangers around the park even on trails to guide you through. Take plenty of water , bug spray and sunscreen if going on hikes.

Don’t miss the visitor center, excellent exhibits about Yosemite (as well as Sierra Nevada)‘s geology, fun for the whole family. Also the exhibits talk about ecology, cultural history and modern mountain climbing / rock climbing happened in Yosemite valley. The museum next door is very small, and displays some artifacts about Native American who used to live in the valley, in my option the outdoor Indian village is equally important, where you could read educational panels about cultural history and natural history, and see some real Indian “buildings”.

Great place to visit after your hike to the waterfall.
Get to know all sort of information about Yosemite ❤️ love the display and interaxtivs parts of the Centre.
You get to find a lot of souvenirs in it too❤️
Find few boards outside the Centre which offers the information of the trails you can find in Yosemite.

Love to visit again in the future.

Yosemite National park a world heritage site is a must visit place for you and your family! Welcome center has great detailed information you need. We visited for a day and half. First day spent in valley exploring towering cliffs and natural surroundings. Granite monolith El Capitan, hike to lower Yosemite waterfall, spent time in Merced river beach and picnic area, glacier point and explored nature. You can look in any direction and it’s so full of natural beauty. Next day explored mariposa grove visiting giant sequoia. There is so much to do on this one place, we had a short time but recommend atleast a few days. Requires prior reservation.

Spent 3 days checking out Yosemite National Park! What an awesome Park. The huge rock formations, the meadows, the water falls, trails and mother nature was definitely worth it. Folks from all over the world was at this park. I recommend coming in early June before things gets really crowd. You may have to make reservation to enter the park if you stay on the outside of the Park. Just a note the temperature can reach up to 95 and above. There is an entrance fee to get in the Park. If you like being outdoors with Nature then Yosemite is the place to be. Enjoy your adventure!
