⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely the Best!

We have had two pools built by Paradise Pools and would never use anyone else! John Sweeney and his team deliver exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and honesty—no hidden fees, just top-notch work. He worked with our budget to bring our vision to life, and the results exceeded our expectations. Every subcontractor and landscaper involved was fantastic, making the entire process smooth and stress-free.

Our second pool has been in for over three years now, and we still enjoy it to the fullest. Friends and family always rave about how beautiful and well-designed it is. More than just a pool, it’s been the centerpiece of so many amazing memories. We are beyond grateful for John’s artistic vision and attention to detail—he truly knows how to create a backyard paradise!

If you’re considering a pool, look no further than Paradise Pools. Thank you, John, for making our backyard dreams come true!

Paradise built our beautiful pool twenty-two years ago. It has held up beautifully. Recently, we re-hired them to drain the pool, update the light, and replace the worn-out waterfall pump. The quality of their work has not slipped a bit. They got the work done over a few days. They were personable, professional, and very neat.

Moving into our new home, we wanted to have a pool and after talking with different companies we decided to go with John at Paradise Pools. Very professional, informational and charming gentleman. He made sure to explain everything to us and answered all our questions regarding the plan and process. Michelle was always very lovely to talk to and always answered the phone calls or returned them right away. She was very helpful as well in keeping us updated about the next steps in the process and when will stages be scheduled for. They both made this an easy and smooth process for my husband and I, especially as this was our first time getting a pool built. 10/10 recommend!

We are coming up on our third summer with our pool from Paradise. I purposefully waited so long to write a review because I wanted to make sure I was able to write a relevant review after a couple seasons of use. We went a little overboard but we figured that since this is a one-and-done kind of purchase we should get everything we wanted. Our parameters included a pool and spa with a grotto. As the build progressed we added a water slide before the plumbing went in so it could be tied in with the pumps.

We had three companies come out to give us estimates and John was the last company to come by. Right away I felt comfortable with him as he was the only one of the three to stand in different spots in our yard and look around. He noticed a two-story house across the street and pointed out that one of their windows had a line of sight into our backyard so he suggested a spa location that our house would block their view. John was up front with us and was very transparent about the fact that he would probably be the highest bidder, but once we saw our design we went with him. When we signed the contract he gave us his number and said to call or text him any time.

During the build there were a couple things I'd text John about but sometimes it would take a really long time to get a response. A couple times I gave up on waiting and called (or stopped by) the office, so that part was pretty frustrating and is one of the reasons I can't give five stars. My biggest complaint is centered around the spa, the gunite crew didn't pay attention and actually covered the spa's main drain with about 3" of gunite!

He had to send one of his guys out to chip the gunite down to the point the drain was once again exposed, but when he did that he took it upon himself to cap off one of the two pop up floor cleaner pipes on the bottom of the spa. This didn't sit well with me so I called John again and I was told they would fix it, but I really didn't need two down there. In my mind I was thinking "then why were two pipes installed for them"? I'm glad I did have them uncap the line after all because even with the two pop ups the spa floor constantly has debris that doesn't get flushed into the drain. These two issues were fixed and aren't really why only the four stars.... When the gunite had to get chipped out it lowered the entire floor depth about 3". The step down from the seat to the floor now was quite a distance. The fix they did was add two small elevated portions between the top step and the seat that extend about 14" then sharply taper into the seat. If you're not careful you can roll your ankle or get pitched into the stone waterfall, both of which are very dangerous!

The rest of the build went smooth until the stamped concrete deck was poured. We didn't want any grass or planters around the pool so the deck pour was a BIG task. When the concrete was poured, the crew took a break and while they were resting a couple sections of the deck set up and the stamped area looks really bad.

Since the pool was finished we've had a couple parts go bad. Our pool sweep had a drive gear go bad and the pool sweep pump housing cracked, both were fixed under warranty. Recently we had one of the Jandy Niche LED pool lights go bad. Apparently the earlier versions were full of problems. When the techs were testing the new light they noticed that the light transformer was very loud and said it shouldn't be like that. They offered to check to see if it is under warranty, which it wasn't, but they called Paradise and he said he would cover the cost of a replacement unit so that was really a testament to John standing behind his work.

At the end of the day we really do love our pool and the few issues we ran into during the build really aren't Paradise's fault, but since they were his contractors unfortunately he gets the review.

Paradise Pools came out, listened to what we wanted, offered their expertise and they came up with a design that complemented our backyard instead of dominating it. Some unforseen aspects of the build were handled with attention and good execution. All the sub contractors were very skilled and the permitting process went well. Financing and office staff are excellent and guided this entire process.

John and Paradise Pools did a terrific job on our pool when we first put it in. They were on time, tidy and kept us informed of what they were doing. The after care is also great, as we can call John with any questions. Thank you John, Christine Rowan

We chose to go with Paradise Pools in early May after meeting with three other companies. We went with John Sweeny (the owner) because he took the time to really help us come up with what worked for our family and really personalized the design to suit what we needed for our fur children and my husband and I.

Construction started the week after we met with John on May 18th they were out digging and as of tomorrow July 24th, our pool is complete! We are swimming TOMORROW! Total time of construction was two months.

John and his staff at paradise pools, especially Michelle were great, professional, caring and responsive. I would recommend John and paradise pools 10/10. I trusted that we were in good hands and we really were, I feel that John had our best interest at heart throughout the entire time and was honest with us about every step! and overall we are completely happy with the entire process!!
