America's Contracting Services was hired by my warranty company to replace my packaged AC/heating unit. It took several months for the installation to take place but I was grateful to be getting it done. I found the crew to be pleasant during this whole process and had no complaints. Fast forward nearly three years and the AC on my new unit stopped working. I had two different HVAC companies come out to my home for estimates. Both techs informed me that the copper refrigerant lines had rubbed together causing very large holes in my refrigerant lines and leaking out all my refrigerant. They also stated that they typically cut the zip ties on the copper lines during installation and spread the lines out to avoid them rubbing together when the unit is in use. Estimate for repair was $2100. I contacted the manufacturer of the ac unit and they suggested I contact the company that installed the unit and have them advocate for me with the distributor. I contacted Lowell at America's Contracting services on July 13th and explained the situation with the unit. At first he offered no help and advised me to take the manufacturer to court. Our conversation continued and he then offered to take a look at my unit the next time he was in my town and had time. No fee was discussed. On July 29th, after not hearing from Lowell I sent a text to inquire if he would be in town any time soon. He replied he would be there sometime during the week. On August 13th Lowell texted me to let me know they had been to my home but needed to go back for a nitrogen test and would only charge me $200 instead of their regular $350 on top of the $80 service fee that was never discussed. I questioned the need for the nitrogen test stating that the other companies found the leak without that test because the holes in the lines were so big. I even sent him pictures which he stated he could not tell where the leak was coming from. I did not hear from Lowell again until August 21st when he said he would go back out there for $200. I texted him asking around what time I could expect him. No reply. On August 26th I texted him again with no response even though I could see he was reading my texts. He texts me back and reiterates that he will need $200 for him to go back out to my house. We went back and forth over text because I was confused about the fee and the need for an expensive nitrogen test in which he responded that I could hire someone else. I brought up the zip ties not being cut and that possibly being the reason the copper lines rubbed together. Instead of asking more questions or helping me get to the bottom of this situation Lowell contacted his help desk and responded to me with a screenshot of the help desk telling him that it's not required to cut the zip ties. Okay fine. I'm not trying to argue about whose fault the breakdown of my ac was. Lowell even went so far as to call one of the other ac companies that I was working with to accuse them of telling me false information about the zip ties. I thought that was super unprofessional. Before writing this review, I had written another Google review that I removed shortly after writing it. Lowell texted me(after I had already removed the review) telling me to take down the review and apologize to him or he would sue me for defamation of character. I stand firm on my previous review and will not be bullied into silence. I am highly disappointed with this company. I stand firm on my position that they are not ethical and care more about the money than they do the customer. I was not asking them to repair my unit I was simply seeking help in advocating for me with the distribution company they bought my unit from as only the installers could do. They created drama with a local HVAC company for no reason, took nearly two months to NOT help me resolve my issue and threatened to sue me for defamation of character for a bad google review. I would not recommend this company or at least proceed with caution if your home warranty sends them out.

Yesterday July 21 my ac went out. Using my home warranty services I was given this company authorized for repairs. I am blanking on his name but he was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They came out and repaired everything and also found some preventative maintenance repairs that needed to be done as well. I can't thank you guys enough. I highly recommend this company for any and all HVAV repairs! Seamless transaction

It took 55 days to repair my air conditioner. I filed a claim with my home warranty company on June 3rd. Jason from America's Contracting Services came out on June 4th to diagnose our system. I called to get an update on June 8th and my phone call went straight to voicemail, the message said that the mail box was full. This was a common occurrence, the phone was never answered and the mailbox was always full. When I finally received a return call later that evening I was told that we had two options, repair or replacement. I was also told that the non-covered costs would be about $1,000 for repair or $3,000 for repair. Jason also told me that the repair would take longer than the replacement due to the extensive leak testing required for repair. I gave him the go ahead with replacement on June 9th. I heard nothing from the warranty company or Jason until June 16th, despite several texts requesting an update.
Jason came to my home on June 17th to recover the remaining refrigerant from my system and remove the condensing unit and evaporator coil from the system. On June 21, I asked for an update on our repairs and heard nothing. I tried contacting him again on July 9th because the the warranty company contacted me and told me that the parts were due to at the supplier and would be ready for pickup. Nothing from Jason.
I was informed by the warranty company that the supplier had receive the wrong evaporator coil on July 12th. Another coil was ordered with an expected arrival of July 16th. I contacted Jason on July 16th, no answer. On July 19 the warranty company told me that the parts were waiting to be picked up so I texted Jason again. No answer. July 20th texted to inform him that parts were at supplier. Jason responded with several rude comments to tell me that the parts weren't ready. July 21st Jason called to inform me that the coil was wrong again.
Coil reordered again, arrived at supplier July 26th. Receive call from Jason on July 27th to schedule install on July 28th. I was told before they could begin work they required a $2,000 deposit. California law limits deposits to licensed contractors to $1,000.00 or 10% of the total contract price, whichever is less.
I could never recommend this company to anyone. Very rude and unprofessional. The non-covered expenses were priced at ridiculous amounts. When I asked the owner of the company for a discount I was basically threatened that if I didn't pay the remaining balance in full that they would not pay for the inspection, and I would not be able to sell my house.
In your response you did not address the concerns that ARE under your control. Like no communication, rude comments, and threats. Or the technician in you employ that seems to generate a large number of negative reviews. How about the fact that four of the earthquake straps pictured below cost $250.00. Or $850.00 to modify the existing drain pan and two PVC drains? Or how about $600.00 for a building permit that the county charges $110.00 for? I had to demand that you send an itemized receipt that you never provided before the start of work. I asked for a discount from you when I was actually presented with that itemized receipt. I paid your invoice, in full the same day that you said no, The work was completed on 7/27, you were paid in full of 7/31. All $3,230.00, which did not include the major components that were paid for by the warranty company.

Working with this company by far has been the worst experience in my life. After being told by Jason specifically that our ac and furnace will be installed within 2-3 days no longer this process took way longer. I have pressured this company to try to get this job done because I have a one year old daughter and the heat rise was record hitting in the 104-105. My husband and I work full time jobs so we trusted this company to go in and out of our home while we were not there. They did respect our belonging but they did not respect our home. Our white walls were covered in dirty hand prints which I have proof. They unboxed the ac unit outside in my back yard and left the foam and card board thrown on the ground for the next 4 days laying there. Inside of my house they left debris everywhere on my floor and a piece of steel which I have proof of. One of the days loul I believe is how you spell his name the dad of Jason got to my house when Jason said he was going to go that day and because Jason was comfortable working around my dogs I left them out. Of course Jason did not show up and his dad did. My husband and I are at work but my husband works 5 minutes away. 5 MINTUES AWAY!!! Loul said he did not have 5 minutes to wait for my husband to come home really fast to put our dogs away. ANOTHER DAY MY AC IS NOT BEING WORKED ON. And yes when the furnace was tooken out there was 1000 dollars that was found and given back to us but please WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH MY AC BEING FIXED! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. When I got home one day my back yard sliding door was left wide open ! I called loul that same second I got home to tell him. I had gotten frustrated and exhausted working with this company. They have no work ethic. Very messy and VERY unprofessional. I put a complaint in with the BBB explaining everything that has been happening I also talked to Jason about it I decided to just let it go and drop everything we finally got our ac done and wanted to more stress until America’s contracting wanted to respond to the BBB with complete LIES ! I have pictures and videos and messages of EVERYTHING ! And what really got to me was they said there was an unattended child that didn’t allow them to work. MY DAUGHTER JUST TURNED 1. She doesn’t even know how to walk yet and majority of all the times they have worked at my house NO ONE WAS HOME SO HOW WAS MY DAUGHTER THERE UNATTENDED BOTHERING YOU? THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. HOME WARRANTY NEEDS A DIFFERENT CONTRACTING SERVICE !

I highly recommend the company and their technicians! They actually answered the phone each time I called (one was on a Sunday).
Very professional and courteous,
They came out and fixed my a/c quickly.
I have a home warranty and will only use America’s Contracting Services for my home moving forward.
Give them a call - you will be very pleased!!

We opened a claim through our home warranty company on this morning (8/14/22) and within An hour I had received a call from this company asking me if I was available today for them to come. He said he would send me a text when he was on his way, which he did and arrived within the allotted time he gave. He told me it would take about two hours but once he got here he was here no more than 30 minutes and went above and beyond to make sure that our AC was working and in tiptop shape. I couldn’t believe how quickly they responded and were able to come the same day and on a Sunday and fix it before it got too over 100° in the next few days. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again!

I wish I could give zero stars! This is the worst company to work with. Their follow up is non-existent. I contacted my home warranty because my AC was not functioning properly. They contracted America’s contracting services to come out. The first tech that came out told us that our AC unit was failing and needed to be replaced. This was on 6/16/21. A few days later my home warranty contacted me and informed me they would be covering the repair, and they got the ball rolling to order parts. I received a call from Jason the next night a 9:04pm, and he just kept asking if our AC was actually still producing cold air (it was, but barely) that was the last call that we received from them. I reached out to Jason on 7/6 and he told me they were still waiting on parts. I reached out again on 7/19, twice, and both calls went straight to voice mail. My wife tried calling a different number and spoke to someone named Lowell, he was extremely rude to my wife, was confrontational when she asked for his name and when she asked what was going on, he asked her to just text him. She did and it took him several hours to reply and just said “waiting on parts.” I reached out to my home warranty who informed me that parts had been ready to pick up since 6/30 and since it had been more than 3 weeks the order was being cancelled and they’d have to re-order the parts. I tried reaching out to Jason and left a VM, I called Lowell and left a VM and I text him asking him to call me back and received no responses from any of those messages. We were forced to take a cash in lieu of repair from our home warranty and get the repair done by another company. I’m amazed that America’s Contracting Service is still in business with the way they treat customers. Based on other reviews, it seems like it’s only people going through their warranty that are having issues. If the warranty work isn’t worth your time, you should stop doing it! I’d be embarrassed to say that I work for a company like this.
