My first visit today and I must say it was a wonderful experience. Staff are very helpful and also had a bit of humor. To me this helps that 'personal touch' I look for. Medical industries and related services have in the past put a bad taste in my mouth. Always feel like your just being rushed through. I totally did not feel that here. Super friendly and a nice clean environment. HUGE shout-out to Karen W.! Her care and attention to my issue was super touching. A person like that I will not easily forget. Totally recommend!

Just spoke to Jessica who works the desk and sets the appointments she was super sweet, took her time and very thorough..Will update this once I see Dr Mendez, when the staff is friendly and knowledgeable always usually the practice as a whole is fantastic. Thank you Jessica! Update the nurse Shannon was nice, thorough and efficient..I have a very complicated case and seeking to find a new PCP after 27 yrs since he retired I was recommended this practice.. Dr Mendez was thorough & personable..I liked how he scheduled telehealth and thoroughly went over all my labs and what his plan for me was moving forward would recommend this practice

Dr. Michael P. Mendez has been my Primary Care Physician for several years now, and I am exceptionally pleased with everything about the Doctor, his staff and their pleasant, comfortable and well-equipped facilities. Dr. Mendez is a very knowledgeable physician who listens intently to his patients and genuinely cares about them (which, in my experience, can often be an all too rare attribute in a busy physician, both here and in other larger cities where I've resided and/or sought medical care). He and his courteous and efficient staff make every effort to be accommodating in unusual or difficult situations (such as the Coronavirus pandemic, for example), and I find that although he has many patients, I am always able to get in to see him surprisingly quickly after I call for an appointment. His staff reflects his personal standards of professionalism and attentiveness, and he's truly just an all-around good guy. I am very fortunate to have found such an extraordinary and capable healthcare professional so shortly after moving to Lubbock, and I couldn't be happier with the care I've received from Dr. Mendez and the staff at Lubbock Family Medicine.
