I highly recommend Ace Handyman services! I asked for an on-line estimate with a couple of photos of my termite damage at the highest section of my eve, requiring a very tall ladder.
Ace Handyman sent Richard the next day & the repairs were then accomplished. Richard completed my termite repair job in half the estimated time, communicated his actual time to the office & my on-line estimate & invoice were recalculated precisely.
Richard was very polite, experienced, thorough & knowledgeable. The work area was well cared for & his work was exemplary.
I have already referred friends to this very efficient Service.

The handyman showed up on time and we went over what pictures I wanted hung & where. He was very efficient & did a great job. I also asked if Ace had the type of brace I would need for my fireplace mantel. Two days later he was back to fix the one picture that fell, and with braces he made himself. Now I don't have to worry about the mantle falling over when there's another earthquake!

I needed a fence, porch railing and 2 security screen doors painted. I contacted Ace, provided them with pictures and dimensions and received an estimate of 8 hours work needed to complete the job. When the worker arrived on site and looked over the work he said he might not be able to complete the screen doors that day, but he would try. At the end of the 8 hours, with no further communication from the worker, it turned out he had only completed the porch railing. An appointment was set for him to come back the following week to complete the job. In the meantime, I received an email with an updated "estimate" of 12 hours work and an additional $500. I contacted the office and spoke with Josh, the owner. He could give me no valid explanation why the work took so much longer than my original estimate except that it "took longer than expected". There were no hidden issues and my initial information was not faulted. I refused to pay the extra money and expected him to stand by his original estimate. He said he would have to think about it and would get back to me. Three days later (the day before my 2nd appointment) he had not called me back so I called the office again. The office manager told me she would reach out to him and have him get in contact with me. He never did. The next morning, I still expected the worker to arrive since I had not received any notification of the appointment being cancelled. A day off work was taken and the worker did not show up. I called the office again and the office manager was surprised Josh had not gotten in touch with me. She tried to reach out to him and could not contact him, so she contacted the worker and arranged to have him come back that day and finish the job at the original estimated price. In total, the job took 14 hours instead of the original 8 hours estimated. This was not something that was off by just an hour or so--it was way off the mark. If you do use this business, make sure you have a SIGNED contract that clearly spells out all the work and how many hours it will take. My contract was never signed by either party and used the terms "estimate" "quote" and "invoice" interchangeably. It was my impression that this business can--and does--change their estimate at will, at any time up until the work is completed. I consider this a bait and switch company. A complaint has been filed with the Ace Corporate office regarding the practices of this business. I would strongly advise against using this business for any of your handyman needs.

Richard was great. He arrived on time. Evaluated the job to be done and arrived at the best solution on how fo fix an outdoor damaged window seal. He cut, replaced and painted the portion of the damaged wood. We are happy with the job Richard and highly recommend him.

I had a very good experience with Ace Handyman Services Ventura County. I called Josh about some work I needed done, got a quick call back, told him what I needed and he sent me a quote within 12 hours. He and Grady came to do the work the next business day. They were on time, professional and got the work done in the length of time they estimated and for the price they quoted. Couldn’t have been happier! I will contact them next time I need handyman services.
