I cannot recommend Kellow Construction enough! We needed a pole in our living room removed - right before Christmas - eek! Well there was absolutely nothing to worry about. The team that came in was so knowledgeable about the work and even had ways we hadn't thought of to make it better. The guys could not have been more friendly and kind. I truly got the sense that they all really loved what they do and genuinely enjoyed each other. I feel like that came through in the amazing job they did.

Not only did they do a fantastic job on the project, they left the house better than they found it. You would never have guessed that we had construction done - it was spotless.

Kiel always answered any questions that we had thoroughly and thoughtfully, always including both my husband and me in the process. And to top it off, he is just a sincerely great guy and a pleasure to talk to.

It is rare to have work done without any hassles or stress but I've never even heard of anyone actually enjoying the process, but that is exactly what you'll get with Kellow Construction. We can't wait to have them back for more projects!

I didn’t think this level of professionalism existed in residential construction prior to working with Kellow. Before even starting, they put an enourmous amount of thought into the project, approach, steps, access, storage spots, materials, etc. This effectively minimized any surprises and made the work itself somewhat mundane, which I find joyous and very different from all my past experiences when working on the home you live in.

Every workday they did just one or two things and left things not just picked up and orderly but fully clean! (I have spent many days of my life picking up and cleaning after previous contractors we have hired.) All work progressed as planned and completed a week ahead of schedule.

Construction is never without some surprises but once again the way they handled them was next level. Stones in a deteriorating stone planter wall shifted just from then working near it and they repaired it to better than before. The underside of an cantilevered part of the house adjacent to where they were working was not built right 40 years ago when the house was built and again they fixed it to better than new, even after we discussed and I said work on this clearly wasn’t in our agreement or their problem. They also added technically unnecessary bolts to strengthen a few connections to pacify my perfectionist tendencies. None of this was expected and all of this was done without debate, tension, change orders or additional cost. Unbelievable!

This may be the first time I’ve ever hired a contractor and done absolutely nothing to help things along myself. Just amazing.

Kellow was definitely not the cheapest option but I really feel we got everything we paid for and then some. Thank you guys, we can’t wait for our next project!

Kiel Kellow and his crew designed and built a beautiful deck for my sister who was ill at the time. They not only were excellent at the construction but were extremely sensitive to my sister’s condition. I will use Kellow Construction again and look forward to that experience. Both my sister and I were sorry to see them go! They have my 5-star recommendation for their attitude and building expertise!

Working with Kellow Construction was top notch. They make true legacy homes, thinking about every detail such as home systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) to design details (color, textures, arches). Out of all the design-build companies we met with, we felt like they were the most honest and intentional. Their constant communication is a breath of fresh air, too. I like their attention to detail and how they want to create not just a home that can last another 15 years, but a home that last the next 50. I highly recommend Kellow Construction.

We had a fantastic overall experience with Kellow Construction on the structurally complex remodel of our historic home, a former barn built in 1888. From the tip of the roof to the foundation, Kiel and team not only have the construction expertise that brought our old house back to life for another 100+ years, but are also talented at design and did beautiful finish work that went beyond our expectations. A lump sum contract was important to us, and Kellow did a thorough job with pre-construction planning, detailing an agreement that worked within our budget. They had a respect for our old house and have a passion for their craft. They were engaging and communicative throughout the project and really met us where we were at with regard to our desire for input and involvement, which really made the experience enjoyable. We highly recommend them and feel lucky and proud to now live in a home they helped create.

We could not have asked for a better building partner. Kyle, Emily and their team are conscientious, cost aware and detail oriented. From planning to execution to completion they were engaged, responsive, knowledgeable and brought sophisticated thinking to the project. They also honored our personal philosophy around sustainable building practices and delivered our project on time and on budget.
