After interviewing a few different contractors I met with Dan. I immediately liked him and felt he knew what he was talking about. He made me feel confident that he could handle the job. I received numerous quotes and Dan's was the best out of them all. After deciding to hire Dan he was at my house within 2 days to actually begin demo. On day one Manuel, the cities best tile contractor by far, and his crew had all of the carpet torn out, took all of the curtains down, moved all of my furniture and actually started the demo on the travertine tile same day. On day 3 the guys were already laying the new tile on the main floor. Having numerous neighbors stop by to check out the progress I received nothing but complements regarding the quaity of workmanship and the care Manuel and his crew showed to the job at hand and how respectful they were to me and my home. By day 7 a load bearing wall was removed and a massive beam was hoisted into place. That only took 2 days from start to finish and it was completed so perfectly that no one would know there used to be a wall there. It took 7 guys to put that beam into place but they got it done. I wanted to continue working with Dan on the rest of the remodel with a new kitchen, master bath and continue the same tile throughout the updstairs. I was initially working with a cabinet company and was just about to sign papers and give a deposit. Thank God I didn't do that after some interactions with them last minute. Dan immediately got his cabinet guy out here within an hour or so and we designed a kitchen within a few days. The kitchen design I wanted was a bit difficult but Mike, the cabinet guy, made it happen! My kitchen is more beautiful than I could have imagined. Dan told me exactly where to go to pick out granite for the counter tops and Dan has a granite guy that does the rest. Of course Manuel and the boys did the backsplash tile and also went above and beyond by hanging the vent hood over the stove. I receive nothing but complements about the style and craftmanship. Next came the master bath. I don't prefer a bath tub so Dan, Manuel and I got our heads together and planned the 9 ft master shower and removed the tub completely. Manuel is a complete genius when it comes to matching tile. Each tile is 24x48 inch calcutta marble style tile and the way Manuel lined that all up was nothing short of the genius of someone that truly knows what he is doing. Those guys worked so hard on that shower but all I can say is WOW! Great job guys. Dan told me exactly where to go to buy shower fixtures and his plumber was here running all of the lines within a day or so. I added a few other things to the project as we went, i.e. all new baseboards upstairs and downstairs, full interior paint, under cabinet lighting, drilling out the slab to insert an electrical outlet in the floor where the wall was removed, etc. Dan didn't skip a beat. He had his guys out here right away and made sure we had everything we needed to complete the project. The guy that came out to fix some drywall where the builder grade mirrors were removed also went above and beyond. This incredible man actually walked the house and corrected any dents on the rounded corners and imperfections in the drywall and treated me so kindly. From start to finish the remodel was basically completed, with the exception of a few little odds and ends, within 12 weeks, during COVID! In this city contractors are a dime a dozen. Some are decent and most are not. Hire Dan and you won' have to worry.
