Sutton at Parklane by Richmond American Homes - Dixon, California

I considered purchasing a home in the Sutton build by Richmond American Homes in Dixon California and I am so glad I opted to buy from another builder. I have friends that live in the adjacent neighborhood whom I visit often and the Sutton at Parklane subdivision is a joke. These builders are destroying the neighborhood with garbage and litter that is just everywhere. Instead of picking up their garbage they just till it into the dirt. I walked by a completed house on the corner of Amhurst and Columbia where they were finishing covering the front landscape with bark. There was chunks of pressure treated wood, metal stakes, trash, concrete chunks and more saturating the dirt which wasn’t even compacted or smoothed and they were simply throwing bark over it. No weed block, no topsoil, it was criminal. You would think that with the amount of sloppy work they would be further along but no. They are moving at a snails pace. I’ve seen stacks of materials sitting and waiting for crews for days and days. I feel sorry for anyone who has purchased a new home here.

We looked into buying at this build and did not and I’m glad we chose not to. Since then we’ve watched these homes being built and the crews are deplorable. They have treated the adjacent neighborhood like their own trash heap. Neighbors have had to spend their time cleaning up the mess. The photos are from Nextdoor and show a kid actually having to clean up after these people.

The construction crews of Richmond American Homes building the Sutton at Parklane subdivision in Dixon, California are leaving garbage, some of which is hazardous all over the neighborhood. Local residents have had to spend their time and resources cleaning up the debris over and over again. We’ve tried to get the company to address the issue but have been ignored. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.
